Our driver radios another driverg -- and after Gavin shovels out the mud that the wheels are stuck in with his bare hands - and attaching a rope to the other vehicle, we are on our way again. We fly from the airstrip here to Kilimanjaro and then to Nairobi. We then hop on a 4 hour flight to Johannesburg, arriving late at night and we spend the night in the Intercontinental in the airport.
